Taking a Jeepney is the best way to get around in the Philippines. The history of these is quite interesting (you can have a read here). The Jeepneys were originally US military jeeps left over after World War II but now, they have been modernised and manufactured by various local motor companies. We made sure to travel like the locals every day.
